Okay so I just stole that off my friend Heidi's blog...she is at the beach right now and took a picture of a little wooden plaque with that written on it and I thought how true! (now if you ask Jamie he would disagree...change the word beach to golf and then it would work!) We went to Pacific City for 3 days with our wonderful friends the Taibl's which was such a treat since we rarely get to spend time together. Between their 2 boys and our 3 kids plus Ellie's friend Alex we had a houseful but it was so much fun! It was beautiful sunny skies and warm for the Oregon coast but also windy which didn't bother us so much but Jalen and Jack and Max being closer to the ground got quite a bit blown in their face. We climbed the dune, looked for shells, starfish and crabs and made a fire the last night to make smores. Em and I got away for an afternoon and sat on the patio of the Pelican brewery and talked and watched the waves. We came back on Wednesday which was Ellie's birthday to get ready for her big slumber party the next day. I have so many great memories of the beach as a child...I think it is one of the most relaxing, peaceful, beautiful places to be. Especially Oregon beaches...yes the water was warm on the beaches in Mexico, but in the way of the scenery they have
